Boaters Rescue Watercraft Operator

Ossipee — July 6, 2012 — The Associated Press reports that a Massachusetts man was rescued by boaters after falling from his personal watercraft on Ossipee Lake yesterday. The NH Marine Patrol identified the man as 66-year old Thomas Pruneau of North Dighton, Mass.

Boaters said Pruneau was operating his personal watercraft erratically before he fell from the vessel. They said he was wearing a life jacket but wasn’t moving. He was taken to the shore and met by police and paramedics.

Investigators are considering some sort of medical issue as a possible factor in the accident, according to the report. Pruneau was hospitalized in stable condition in Wolfeboro.
