Freedom Candidates to Meet the Public

Freedom — February 25, 2009 — With elections less than two weeks away, the trustees of the Freedom Public Library are sponsoring a forum for candidates for town office tomorrow night, Thursday, February 26, from 7:00 to 8:30 PM at the library.

The trustees are holding the event to provide an opportunity for candidates to introduce themselves and discuss their reasons for running for office.

Among the candidates for selectmen this year are John Krebs and Neal Boyle, who are running for the position being vacated by Donna Cupka. Candidates seeking positions as town treasurer, planning board member, library trustee and school board member will also be at the meeting.

There will also be presentations on the citizen-petitioned articles that will be on the town warrant.
