Freedom—February 3, 2021—Late Monday night, there was a brief announcement on Channel 9 News that Emerson Aviation had declared “ice-in” on Lake Winnipesaukee as of Sunday evening, January 31, 2021. Ice-in translates to “no open water on the lake.” 

Ice-in for Ossipee Lake was declared on December 19.

Yesterday’s (February 2) Conway Daily Sun includes a photo of a snowmobile that went through the ice in Meredith Bay on Sunday creating some open water.
