Freedom—April 13, 2023—Finally, the last sheet of ice melted at 3 p.m. today, 4/13/23. It was on the west shore of Broad Bay, just north of Camp Huckins Beach.

The lake level is reported as 406.6 ft. and continuing to rise. There should be no problem reaching summer level of 407.25′ by Labor Day.

Emerson Aviation is reporting Ice-Out for Winnipesaukee at 4:55 p.m. on 4/7/23.  They define this event as having floating ice, but the Mt. Washington can reach all of its normal docks.

So far, a few loons are back, but no black flies or pollen yet.
