No Clues In Latest Search for Carol Gemmiti

Ossipee—September 20, 2026—The N.H. Fish and Game Dive Team was back on the lake last week but did not find answers in the search for a woman who went missing two years ago.

Carol Gemmiti, a 67 year-old Florida resident, was last seen leaving for a walk on Bay Point Rd. at around 11 a.m. on September 27, 2024.

She and her husband, Don, were staying at Don’s family’s cottage between Broad Bay and Leavitt Bay.

Multiple searches of the lake and the surrounding area by state and local authorities and the Civil Air Patrol have not produced leads in the case.

“Unfortunately, no clues were discovered, and again we are no closer to a resolution,” N.H. Fish and Game said in a news release about last Tuesday’s dive team operation.

The Ossipee Police Department has an open missing person case on behalf of Gemmiti, and a $5,000 reward for information remains in effect.
