Carroll County Independent Seeks Freedom Reporter

Freedom – August 24, 2009 – The Carroll County Independent is looking for a freelance writer to cover the Town of Freedom. The job includes covering Monday evening selectmen’s meetings twice monthly at 7 p.m. and turning in a completed story the next day.

Other occasional assignments include covering the annual Town Meeting, Old Home Week and similar special events and festivals.

Some writing or journalism experience is required, and photography skills are a plus. The ideal applicant will either live in or near Freedom. The pay rate is per story.

    Great fun opportunity for someone, but I hope they don’t hire anyone that works for the Marina or the town. (or has relatives involved with either)

    Charlie Smith or John Hardy over at Westward Shores may be looking for a paying gig sometime soon. And everyone here in the campground knows of their penchant for story telling! Sounds like a good fit to me…. 😉
