Danforth Cyanobacteria Advisory Lifted

Freedom—September 2, 2021—The Department of Environmental Services has removed the Cyanobacteria advisory for the Danforth Ponds, according to Amanda McQuaid of the agency’s Watershed Management Bureau.

“While some may continue to see some flecks or accumulations at times, I think we can remove the advisory at this time,” she wrote in an email to Ossipee Lake Alliance, asking that any worsening of conditions be reported to her at (603) 848-8094 or Amanda.McQuaid@des.nh.gov.
