John Colcord, 19, will serve 18 months in Carroll County House of Corrections and owe almost $2 million in restitution for setting fires in Freedom, the Ossipee Pine Barrens and elsewhere in the Ossipee Lake area.

Delivered on time and on budget, the new building will be celebrated at an open house on Saturday, February 11.

Eaton resident John Robert Colcord has been charged with setting a rash of fires, including a June blaze in the near-by Ossipee Pine Barrens.

A former Madison firefighter is being held in connection with an Eaton fire and officials say additional charges are possible.
